    Intended for novice anglers, enjoy a weekend of learning and a non-intimidating, fun competition with the Ladies Let's Go Fishing university organizers. Species include legal inshore and offshore fish. Choose an optional charter experience or fish on your own boat. This is a casual tournament with prizes for heaviest offshore fish, longest inshore fish and drawings for prizes of those who caught fish, plus bonus drawings.

    Author Cynthia Byrd Conner will detail her father's captivating life as the first African American Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician in the United States Armed Forces. Master Chief Boatswain's Mate Sherman Byrd was an expert in conventional, nuclear, biological, and chemical bomb disposal.   • 9/10/2020 - 9/12/2020 Annual Swim for Alligator Lighthouse

    Since 2013, swimmers participate in an 8-mile roundtrip race from Islamorada to the Alligator Lighthouse and back. Proceeds help provide scholarship opportunities to those students in need and who wish to pursue competitive swimming, as well as raise awareness of the need to preserve the treasured, historic offshore lighthouses along the Florida Keys. Social distancing protocols will be in place for all activities.
